Mozuku and US (2019)

Kanna Drive in, Ginoza Okinawa

This installation was exhibited at a drive-in restaurant in Ginoza, Okinawa. Natural sea weed was collected from the sea with a help of a local fisherman. Each of five tanks contain seaweed patches which are constantly buried by a large sand back. This project attempts to bring attention to the ongoing landfill project on the island that constantly destroys coral reef.
